Budakid revisits his debut album Dreams Stretched Beyond with a seven-track remix package that opens the original material to a wide range of club-focused interpretations.
Originally released in July on his own Flores imprint, the album was shaped by twenty years of personal experiences and by the isolation of living in the Alps. Its immersive songwriting, emotive synth work and strong melodic identity now become the starting point for seven different producers.
Argia opens the package with an ethereal take on “Hearts”, combining tight mid-tempo drums, airy vocals and a roaming bassline. Gerd Janson takes “Endless” in a completely different direction, injecting classic Italo disco colour through sharp drums and uplifting chords.
Guy J approaches “Lovin’ Sun” with patience, allowing vocal textures and lush synth layers to unfold gradually over a gently swung groove. Map.ache brings intimacy to “Tannenheim”, balancing crisp tech elements with melodic warmth and house sensibility.
Fort Romeau raises the pressure on “Is No Ova”, introducing broken beats, shimmering vocals and a subtle acid line that steadily drives the track toward euphoria. Hernán Cattaneo and Kevin Di Serna offer another reading of “Lovin’ Sun”, surrounding the original vocal with bright progressive melodies, while Renato Cohen closes the release with a wide-screen deep tech interpretation built for late-night floors.
Across seven remixes, Dreams Stretched Beyond reveals how much space was already present inside Budakid’s original compositions. Each artist pulls the material in a different direction without losing the emotional core of the album.
